Terms of sale and licence

Who you are buying from

Where the sale actually happens

Purchases go through a marketplace, currently Gumroad and Notion Marketplace. They take the payment, deliver the files, issue the receipt, and handle sales tax and VAT where it applies. Their terms cover the transaction itself. These terms cover the product and what you may do with it.

What you get

Digital files. Depending on the product that means HTML files, a Notion template link, a spreadsheet, a PDF guide, or some combination. There is no physical item and nothing is shipped. Once the marketplace delivers the download, the product is delivered.

What you may do with it

Standard licence, which covers every product unless it says otherwise, including the Starter and Pro tiers:

• Use the files in your own projects, personal or commercial, as many times as you like
• Change anything: the code, the labels, the numbers, the colours
• Put them on your own site, in your own Notion workspace, or in work you publish

Agency licence, for the Agency tier:

• Install, customise and bill clients for using these blocks on unlimited client projects
• Leave the customised blocks in place when the project ends

What you may not do with it

On any licence, including Agency, you may not resell or give away the raw source files as a product in their own right. That means no listing them on a marketplace, no bundling them into a template pack, and no passing them to other agencies or to the public as files to use. The Agency licence buys you the right to use them in unlimited client work, not the right to become a distributor of them.

You also may not claim you wrote them, or resell them with the branding changed and nothing else.

If you want to do something these terms do not cover, ask. I would rather write you a licence than have you guess.

Refunds

Because these are digital files that are delivered immediately, I do not offer refunds for change of mind.

I do refund when the product is broken or is not what the listing described. If a file does not work, or does not do what I said it does, tell me what happened and I will either fix it quickly or refund you. There is no time limit on that, and you do not need to argue the case.

Two things worth knowing. The marketplace you bought from has its own refund policy and can issue a refund independently of mine. And if the consumer law where you live gives you a stronger right than this page does, including the cancellation right that applies to some digital purchases in the UK and the EU, that law wins and I will honour it.

Support and updates

I will fix defects for as long as the product is on sale. Write to me and describe what is happening; I read every message.

Updates are delivered through the marketplace you bought from, at no extra cost. That covers fixes and improvements to what you bought. It is not a promise of new products or new features on any schedule.

If a product is retired from sale, your copy keeps working. The files run on their own and do not check in with a server, so there is nothing to switch off.

What these tools do and do not do

The calculators and interactive blocks compute what you type into them. They are working tools, and they are also not a substitute for judgement.

Nothing sold here is financial, legal, tax, medical or academic advice. A pricing model does not decide your prices. A study calculator does not check whether the method is the one your teacher wants. Check anything that matters before you act on it, particularly where money or a grade depends on the answer.

Things outside my control

The files themselves have no external dependencies, which is deliberate. But Notion, web browsers and the marketplaces are other companies' products, and they change. If one of them changes in a way that breaks something I sold you, tell me and I will fix it while the product is on sale.

Liability

If something I sold you causes a loss, my responsibility is limited to refunding what you paid for it. I am one person selling small tools at small prices, and that limit is what makes it possible to sell them at all. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law rules. Your statutory consumer rights where you live are not affected.

Changes

If I change these terms, the date at the top changes with them. The version in force when you bought is the one that applies to your purchase.
